Chet Faker, the name sounds a bit cheesy but he is a great talented electronic musician and a singer from Sydney, Autralia. He is not a newbie but already a prominent in this 2,3 years with his sophisticated voice. He describes the voice of a jazz giant Chet Baker as “fragile,” and the works of Chet Faker himself is also sounds fragile that he expressed the influence by the trumpetter/singer in the name.
And Goldlink is DMV based rapper with the ep “the God Complex”, featured by hottest producers like Flume and Kaytranda recently.
They teamed up and this song is just…perfect.
I wanna listen more from them, what do you think?

I’m sorry these recent posts are not about new talents, but we can’t ignore new challenge by good old big ones, right?
This video is from Brian Eno and Karl Hyde tagged as EnoăťHyde, and it’s made so digital way, but you can see digital thing can express poetic feelings if you watch until the end. The crisp vocal atmosphere and developing guitar cutting make listeners uprise and awake so strong, it turns out they are almost mesmerising in the end.

Of course you know, this track is made by the one of the most anticipated combination, Usher & Disclosure. But the original version features so daring vocal arrangement with challenging track, so this remix feels a bit mediocore. I can imagine most of all DJs choose this remix rather than original, it made me a bit sad.
But I don’t mean to blame the duo Disclosure, I think they are so good at making bouncing melody & track and it can’t be divide. So, I just want to listen to completely new song from them.
This beautiful HWLS rework of Seaakae’s also beautiful original is getting something another from “just beautiful.” It brings a feelings like awakening while it’s so dazed too.
HWLS(HOWLS) is a duo consisted by Taku and Kit Pop, both DJ and Producer from Australia already made their name in the beat scene. This song is originaly from the Seekae, Australian 3 piece band with a bit hazy vocal and deep synth beat. The band, Alex Cameron, George Nicholas, John Hassell is known for their second album “+Dome” (this was one of the best dubstep influenced work in 2011) and 3rd album “Worry” will be dropped on this September.

London, again!
Billie Black is from the factory city of young talents, and just 19th year old singer. This daughter of old-days disco-queen absorbed in jazz in her younger age, she joined the National Youth Jazz Orchestra and now she’s learning in The Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
She is listneing to everything not only jazz, also names like James Blake, Jessie Ware, Sampha and Kwabs are noted on her profile. Just listening to the track above, we can realize her intent to make a mixture of jazz vocal and electronic dance music.
She’ve already released a song and its video under native management but i feel this “I Don’t Need Another Lover” song.

Following last week’s opening of the World Champions Space, things officially kicked-off with an ALIFE Sessions event to celebrate the launch. Done in partnership with Puma® and Budweiser, the latest Sessions featured the Toronto-based trio, Bad Bad Not Good, and Wu-Tang Clan member, Ghostface Killah. Soon after the match ended, Bad Bad Not Good set things off, performing their unique blend of Jazz-flavored tracks such as “Triangle,” “Can’t Leave The Night,” and “Kaleidoscope,” to name a few. Following a quick talk break, BBNG casually introduced an alternative style to a familiar song, prompting Ghostface to hit the stage, breaking into his classic, “Run.” Heads nodded instantaneously, as the amped up crowd shouted almost every one of his rhymes verbatim. Following a few other tracks Ghost went into some classic banter; shouting out the Spurs for winning the NBA Finals, talking about Bron-Bron not being official because he joined a team of winners and how he should have come to New York, and getting acquainted with the neighbors who were watching from their windows and balconies. Matt Tavares of BBNG began to tease the crowd by playing the melody of “C.R.E.A.M.” on his Prophet vintage synth, causing Ghost lead the chant, “cash rules everything around me, CREAM, get the money, dollar dollar bill y’all!” Ghostdini finished his set with verses from “Shimmy Shimmy Ya,” and “Shame on a Nigga,” paying tribute to the late, great Ol’ Dirty Bastard. Although Ghostface and BBNG have worked together in the past, this marked the first time that the two groups have ever performed together. We’re proud to help further that connection and bring the experience to our friends, and friends of friends.
London based(again!!) artist FKA Twigs plays a many roles in this âTwo Weeksâ video. If you take a glance, soon you’ll noticed her shiney presence and each of “small” dancers are doing sooo well. Yes, she just not only sing, she dances. She, FKA(formerly known as) Twigs also known as Tahliah Barnett is originaly a dancer, and she danced as backup of Jessie J, Beyonce. So of course she can dance, and her every videos her made got artistic visuals with a way of beautiful body moving.
She alreday relaesed “EP2” last year and first album “LP1” coming in this summer.
Can’t wait!
p.s. And I noticed this video was directed by Nabil and FKA Twigs herself too. Nabil is everywhere now. His major work were like “Higher” by Just Blaze & Baauer, “Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High?” by Arctic Monkeys, and James Blake works and so on. He can make us feel something from artists without word & concept in our head. It seems he realize artists’ emotions and how to visualize the feeling. Great works!!
